Is living without cash even possible in our money-obsessed economy? Can a modern woman live by means of trade, offering services for goods and vice versa? Especially if said woman lives in the city and not on a farm or similar lifestyle. That is what I intend to find out. For the month of June, thirty days, I will attempt to live in a manner that does not require money to change hands in order to aquire what I need.
Since I don't expect this to be easy, the next two weeks will be spent preparing - finding out what I can do and where I can go to offer my services, posting bulletains around town explaining my desire for freedom from money. Riding my bike every day so I can go without my car for that month - I'm painfully out of shape, so this will be the most difficult part.
If I can live a month like this... why not three... or six... even a year? Who knows where this will end. ONly time will tell.
